Fascination can drive us to take surprising action. In this same, perhaps illogical manner, I wanted, for my part, to return to the origins of "Zabriskie Point", the film by the Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni. Can we rediscover in reality the meanings lost in fictions ? How does one belong, body and soul, to a work of this nature? To these questions, I set out to find an answer. Accompanied by my camera, I put into images this long voyage that would offer me the best, as well as the worst.

After a spat with her boyfriend, Carole (Laure Marsac) hails a taxi, not realizing that she has done so without any of the money or identification papers she needs. Her driver (Bruno Cremer) attempts to help her, but a variety of mishaps bring her to the attention of the police, who proceed to arrest her on made-up charges and a phoney HIV-positive result on tests given at the time of arrest.

What a revelation and a privilege it is to see Chantal Akerman at work. Its French title a pun, this film offers behind-the-scenes footage from the production of Tomorrow We Move: makeup and costume tests, script readings, scene blocking and rehearsals, and on-set interviews with Aurore Clément and Sylvie Testud, her lead actresses, as well as Akerman herself.

Sylvie Neige is 35. An only child, she lives and works on her parents' farm. The only entertainment she allows herself is a drama class held in the next village. There she meets Gabriel, a seductive city dweller who invites her to stay with him for a weekend.

It is a mild winter and Martin has just settled into the isolated house that was his father's. One night, at the edge of the woods, a strange man called Haruki appears before him. He invites Martin to lose himself in the forest in order to encounter a stranger.
