Two fishing communities in a village are pitted against each other by an evil landlord. Problems arise when the leader of one community falls in love with his rival's sister.

Rama Rao (Y.B.Raju) is an affluent gentleman and he has a wife named Jagadeeshwari (Kannamba). The couple has a son Kumar (Jaggaiah).
