When the president of Russia suddenly dies, a man whose politics are virtually unknown succeeds him. The change in political leaders sparks paranoia among American CIA officials, so CIA director Bill Cabot recruits a young analyst to supply insight and advice on the situation. Then the unthinkable happens: a nuclear bomb explodes in a U.S. city, and America is quick to blame the Russians.

Hong Kong cop Chan Ka-Kui returns, working with Interpol to track down and arrest an illegal weapons dealer. Chan later realises that things are not as simple as they appear and soon finds himself to be a pawn of an organisation posing as Russian intelligence.

Famous ski stunt cameraman Willy Bogner's fourth movie features breathtaking pictures of extreme skiing, snowboarding and a lot of other things you don't want to try at your next skiing holiday. The story surrounding the whole thing is completely insignificant compared to the wonderful pictures. Nearly all the actors in the movie are world champions in their category. Willy Bogner's most famous work are probably the ski stunts in most of the James Bond movies.

Their first meeting is a disaster: he falls off the ski lift, and when she jumps to rescue him, he leads her on a Key Stone Cops chase down the mountain. For JOHN EAVES, six-time winner of the Freestyle World Cup and stunt man for James Bond, it's love at first sight. For World Champion Freestyle skier SUZY CHAFFEE, it's a see-ya-later-buddy. But John doesn't give up easily. He decides that if the only way to win her means following her across the country, then that's what he'll do. Starting in Manhattan, he trudges 3,000 miles through urban jungle and flatland desert, all the time fantasising about what they'll do when they're together.

Fun and breathtaking action, the fascination of speed and pure zeitgeist - that's "Ski to the Max". Willy Bogner wanted to push the boundaries - and exceeded them. A stunt thriller like a mixture of James Bond and Ethan Hawke: Deep snow skiing in the Himalayas, extreme skiing in Alaska, slopestyle in Aspen and paragliding in the Engadine. The best skiers in the world set new standards for human possibilities.

Snow dancing and spectacular skiing stunts are showcased in this lively video program hosted by star skiers Suzy Chaffee and John Eaves. The antics are backed by the music of Alan Parsons, Harold Faltermaier, Gary Wright and John Denver. Much of the footage comes from the ski film Fire and Ice.

Short film by Willy Bogner. Created as an advertisement for the 1997 Bogner ski clothing collection. Featuring alpine ski and snowboard champions. Filmed at St. Moritz, Switzerland and Island Lake, Canada.
