Half-Cherokee-half-white Lo faces heavy ostracism from a nearby town, after he sets up his home in the hollow of a massive redwood tree. Romance sparks between Lo and the preacher's daughter, Nellie, which triggers intense jealousy and racism from Sheriff Dunn.
