Won Hyang-ra

Welding engineer Cheol-taek is diagnosed with terminal cancer one day. This news begins to affect not only his only daughter Jeong-mi, who works as a bit-part actress, but also the lives of Hyun-sook, who had effectively divorced Cheol-taek and was enjoying retirement after finishing her career as a civil servant; Ok-nam, Hyun-sook's mother approaching her nineties; Cheol-taek's older brother Kwan-taek; and Kwan-taek's grandson Dong-min.

Film critic Dogyeong belatedly learns of an old friend's death. As it happens, this comes not long after the demolition of an old theater in Gangwon Province. Somehow, the two events do not feel all that different to her. As her work as a critic takes her from place to place, Dogyeong searches for her late friend’s short film and visits theaters and screening spaces where it might once have been shown.

Taeyoung and Jumi, a married couple who have closed down their shop, are at a loss. Then, like a miracle, new life arrives. Myeonghun, who dreams of becoming a film director, and Seonhee, who dreams of becoming an actress, find comfort in each other's presence and have a romantic relationship, even promising to get married. However, when things don't go as planned, Myeonghun, disappointed, reflects on his dreams and reality. He tells Seonhee that it would be better for her to get a job.
