Three sisters, Barbara, Theodora, and Kiki, have inherited an old mansion from their father, but they cannot sell it unless they first find a husband for their fourth sister, Filio, who is both deaf and dumb. The suitor of the youngest sister, Kiki, Markos Spyropoulos, who is a building contractor, decides to bring order to the house. Already living there are Barbara's lazy future husband, Tryfonas, and Theodora's fiancé, Pantelis, who is a lifelong student. Filio is sent to Australia to find a groom, but she returns on the same ship to finally marry a middle-aged man, Prokopis.

Georgia Vasiliadou claims to be a simple housewife. And an inveterate matchmaker! She spies on everyone and everything and issues a daily bulletin about what is happening in a working-class apartment building in Athens in the 1960s. Most importantly, however, she marries everyone who has been left on the shelf and even "makes" children for those who don't have any! A hilarious comedy
