Filmed at the Marillion Weekend, Holland 2011. Friday night saw the band performing their classic 1991 album "Holidays In Eden", Saturday night dubbed "A-Z" with the band playing an alphabetical set, and Sunday night dubbed "The Glow Must Go On", where the audience (armed with glow sticks) would decide what the band would play next given a choice between any two songs.

On the weekend of 17th March 2023, thousands of Marillion fans travelled from over 45 different countries around the world for the 21st Anniversary of the Marillion Weekends and the first Port Zelande Weekend for four years. The centrepiece of the Weekend was the definitive live performance of the critically acclaimed album âAn Hour Before Itâs Darkâ. Featuring special guests, incredible visuals and a captivating light show, this unique event was filmed in a newly reconfigured, custom built venue. Recorded and mixed by Michael Hunter, Directed and Edited by Tim Sidwell.
The highlight of the Marillion Weekend 2002 was a complete performance of the 'Brave' album, last performed in its entirety in 1994. Also included on the DVD are over 45 minutes of interview clips with all members of the band about writing and recording 'Brave,' and performing it again after an 8-year break.

At the end of 2019 the ensemble, eleven musicians in total including the string quartet In Praise of Folly, flautist Emma Halnan and French Horn player Sam Morris, took the music on the road on a tour that would play to sold out venues across Europe, concluding with another two amazing nights at the Royal Albert Hall. With Friends at St David's joins the tour in Cardiff at a venue the band had last played some twenty years earlier. Over two hours of beautifully crafted music and powerful performance, the film presents the full set, including songs from across the last thirty years of the band's repertoire.

For the Saturday night performance from Marillion Weekend 2005, the band decided to choose their favourite "up-tempo" songs to create a high-energy party vibe for the night. Slower more atmospheric songs were then selected to end the Weekend on the Sunday night, creating a completely different show and feel. Mixed by Dave Meegan and available on audio downloads as Smoke and Mirrors, the 2 live shows included on Bootleg Butlins were filmed using only 3 cameras. This DVD gives you the feel of being not just AT but IN the show - a true memento of the Marillion Weekend 2005.
This is a live Blu Ray disc from 2019 Marillion Weekend from Port Zelande and a Show from Leicester. We are delighted, and somewhat relieved, to present a record of the last Marillion Weekend, from what has become the distant past! Which is half the reason for calling the two-film set âDistant Lightsâ - the other half, of course, being a nod to a lyric from the Happiness Is The Road album, which was the centrepiece of the 2019 Sunday night show. Just to quash any speculation, the delay in releasing these films was not so much caused by any turn of events, as by everyone having been consumed by the creation of An Hour Before Itâs Dark over the last couple of years.
