Spain, Basque Country, 17th century. At night and through the mountains, Kattalin escapes from her farmhouse and, while wandering through the deep forest, she senses a presence that stalks her.

In the borderless Europe of the 21st century, one border still separates Spain from France, marked by the Bidasoa River. On this river lies Pheasant Island, a tiny piece of land that alternates between Spain and France every six months. When the body of an illegal immigrant is discovered on the day of the border shift, Nassim, one of the survivors, becomes the target of a violent manhunt by French authorities as he tries to cross the border. This chilling event will change the lives of Laida and Sambou, an interracial couple.

Khalil is a young man torn from his roots who lives on the edge of town, where the industrial estates merge into the river and the marshes. Khalil gets by as best he can and spends his time with an old poacher, who shares a house on the riverbank with a brother he hasn't spoken to in years. On the banks of the marshes, the tides mark the time of love and heartbreak, of friendship and revenge.

A yacht sets sail with three people on board. Two women and a man form a triangle as strange as it is mysterious. Swimming in the high seas, nighttime conversations and sexual tensions. A feverish sleeplessness and the need for freedom will mark the direction of their navigation.

How much does private life impact on art? Julen uses persons. The power and domination that a man exerts to make a film. Marian uses her friend June. Using friends to make a movie. Using people to make a movie. The money. Maybe a film has nothing to do with art or storytelling, maybe it's just another way of exercising power.

A group of movie professionals go into a studio to, over a single day, read / test/ count / live the story of 'The Silly Ones and The Stupid Ones'. Sitting around a table and following the directions of the director, the actors show us the evolution of the creating process and how the characters through the trials, indications, lighting or props, that at first were just a story captured on a script becomes a film, in cinema, the great optical illusion, the visual lies that allows us to enjoy the stories we see on the screen.
