A husband wants to win back his wife, even though she has been living with her lesbian lover for six months.

At the age of forty, Antoine Lahoud is still defending petty criminals who are entitled only to legal aid. He still has a quixotic notion of his mission but, lately, his little income and his arduous working conditions have been eroding his idealism. So, when Henry Marsac, a leading (but seemingly corrupt), professional colleague, offers him to work on bigger and more lucrative cases, he ends up accepting. Little does he know what Marsac is up to...

Few of the characteristics that can be associated with Jean Paul Civyrac can be seen in his first film, a 14 minute short feature. Inevitably, considering its short length, the film is necessarily very much a character study, since there is little room to develop much in the way of a plot. Luc (Jean Descanvelle) is a young man who is determined to do things his own way and consequently conflicts with everyone he meets. He doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks, isn’t interested in any advice they might have to give and is not interested in assistance from friends or family. He is going to do things his way, and do whatever it takes to make money, which is mainly performing sexual favours for any man who is willing to pay for it.

At the start of the new millennium, mysterious things are going on in Paris. People are disappearing, just like that, without explanation. They vanish into thin air and are never seen again.

The peaceful lives of Antoine and the dowser Noé are disrupted by the irruption of a woman they find crying on the side of the road.

The last weekend of summer. Mother is preparing the jars for winter pickling, love-struck Françoise is practising karaoke in front of her little brother Julien. In the shed behind the house, Karim is doing some "undeclared" work, having given up on his acting dreams. In a few hours, the new canning factory, where Father works, will be inaugurated. No one is expecting Sonia, who decides to turn up that very morning.

A young technician arrives at a French factory that is about to be closed down to dismantle a piece of machinery so that it can be transported for use at another location.

Pierre's wife, Madeleine, is dead, but he still sees her in his dreams. One day, his younger brother, Baptiste, comes back to live with him. A new life is possible, but Eva, Baptiste's wife, comes back and divides the two brothers.

A job like any other, for those who get up, go to bed, and collect their money.
