Miki has a good job and works in an office. She's been dating Ryosuke and they're happy together... except for the fact that Miki is also in a relationship with her college professor Tanaka. Tanaka is trying to break up with Miki because of his wife, but Miki won't hear of it. Ryosuke is also unfaithful, and he has a one-night stand with Chihiro, who also has a boyfriend. The plot thickens when both girls discover they are pregnant, and don't know who to name as father. This romantic drama about relationships is proof that love can also come in squares.
After finishing his delivery job, Suwa returns to the office. As he is about to go up the stairs, he sees Kiyomi about to jump off... Suwa jumps on Kiyomi and hurriedly holds her back. "I'm fed up... I'm sorry," Kiyomi weakly replies, and Suwa confesses, "I was thinking that today was the day I would jump off too... My wife ran off with another man." That day, the two comforted each other and passionately desired each other. But their happy time did not last long...
In 1978, at the Kyoto nightclub "Barami," Ryuji Kagawa (Toru Minegishi), boss of the Yamada-gumi, was gunned down. The man targeting the leader of Japan's largest organization was Wataru Naruse (Kazuyoshi Ozawa) of the Nihon Makoto-kai. This is the story of a reckless conflict—likened to "ants" challenging a "giant elephant"—as men, seeking vengeance for their boss, the first president of the Nihon Makoto-kai, Katsuichi Yoshimura (Hitoshi Ozawa), take on Japan's largest organization.
Reiko, engaged to her boyfriend, Aki, meets a lesbian girl on a train who opens her up to the lesbian world. Reiko finds herself attracted to the girl, and is forced to make a difficult decision about her fiance. The film touches upon the delicate question of social acceptance of alternative lifestyles in the closed Japanese society of today. And it also has some steamy girl-on-girl erotica scenes!
On the way home after being embraced by a man in a grove, an elderly gentleman named Akio calls out to her, but Keiko, who doesn't want to miss the last train, turns him down. That night, Hideki and Keiko get into an argument over something trivial, and Keiko is slapped in the face...
Koichi, a salaryman who can't bring himself to marry his girlfriend, meets Manami, a beautiful widowed calligrapher and one day...
