Christos Doxaras was born in Patras in 1935 and studied at the Drama School of the National Conservatory and cinema at the ASKE. In the 1970s, he moved away from the stage and developed a wide-ranging writing activity, which expanded over a number of years to cinema, television and radio. He was the one who masterfully transferred the novel "Loxandra" by Maria Iordanidou to television. "Loxandra" in 1980 on ERT is perhaps the most faithful adaptation of an autobiographical novel.
