In a war-ridden country, a woman watches over her husband, comatose from a bullet in the neck and abandoned by Jihad companions and brothers. One day, the woman decides to say things to him she could never have done before.

The story of an unlikely encounter between Gordon, a hexapod operator, and Ayusha, a young woman from the Middle East. Gordon, guardian of a pipeline in this desert region, becomes fascinated by Ayusha, while piloting his robotic spider from the other side of the world, in America. Ayusha is promised to an older man she doesn't love. Despite the distance, their mutual fear and their imperfect interaction, he will do everything in his power to help her escape her fate.

1994, Fatine, a young girl of 17, lives with her mother, Nadia – who is a chikha (singer and dancer)- and her grandfather in Azemmour, Morrocco. She has just passed her A-levels and is torn between two opposing paths: either committing to the family’s artistic tradition, or a more risk-averse life with her boyfriend, who scorns her heritage.

Seven years after the death of his mother, 13-year-old Karim leaves Paris for Morocco with his father Messaoud, who has remarried.
