Set in the late 60s in a small seaside town, this coming of age drama centres on a young girl named Nagisa. She spends her summer holidays working in a local seaside bar, searching for her lost cat, dancing to rock’n’roll and discovering first love.

Reunited by the death of a friend, a group of former schoolmates reassess themselves and their earlier times together.

Akira had to transfer schools upon graduation because of her father's job. She was reluctant to move because of her secret love for Nao...

Masaki is about to move to the U.S. with his parents, much to the dismay of five girls who all like him in different ways. Tomboyish Takako always gives him a hard time; Haruna is a childhood friend; Alisa has fancied him since a shopping trip in nearby Shibuya; Naoko is still readjusting after a long spell in the U.K.; and Yumi ikes practicing basketball with him at night. All wonder who his "special girl" is, but Masaki isn't saying.
