To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the École Nationale de l'Humour presents a gala, gathering thirty graduates on stage who talk about their love for the establishment that saw them come into being.
This documentary attempts to understand why so many comedians experience mental health issues, a condition that stands in stark contrast to their profession. Anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts: these are the heavy subjects they dare to tackle on stage. Cathy Gauthier, Coco Belliveau, Jean-François Mercier, Mario Jean, Maude Landry, Preach and Simon Gouache testify.
More mature without being wise, as incredible as it is true, Cathy Gauthier is about to dazzle you with a third, more personal and authentic show. Between her childhood memories, which are unusual to say the least, and her enlightened view of current realities, the one who dreamed of being a “beautiful princess” has amassed her share of hilarious disillusionments. She shares them without restraint, with the energy and rhythm that make her a great comedian.
At 21, Cathy Gauthier left her native Abitibi with only one dream in mind: to become a comedian. Here's her fist one-woman show launched in 2005!
Cathy Gauthier reveals us all the facets of her twisting, but no less complex, rich and sensitive personality with, among others, La petite madame, "Bind date" and Discoveries in a "Sex shop".
Yvon Deschamps, Patrick Huard, Louis-Josée Houde, Martin Matte, Mariana Mazza... For its final classic Gala in French, Juste Pour Rire assembled the absolute biggest names in Quebec comedy. More than thirty of our favourite stars delivered a Gala for the ages, and brought the house down. Juste Pour Rire truly saved the best for last!
A mom will always be patient, gentle, happy. A mom does not cry. It is the image of the perfect mom that is in the collective subconscious. But when things go wrong, who is there to support moms? The spectrum of perinatal mental health is wide and it is time to change our view of motherhood and offer empathy and solutions to all this suffering.
Cathy Gauthier presents her fourth one-woman show called Classique. The comedian jokes on several themes and tells various anecdotes from her daily life, notably addressing her childbirth and her life as a couple.
