The people at Circus Hepokatti decide to throw a big surprise party for Herman The Clown, but no one seems to know when Herman's birthday is. No one has ever organized a birthday party for him before. The birthday arrangements take a surprising turn when the ruthless leader of a rival circus, the ringmaster Tilpehööri, wants Herman to be the attraction of his own circus by any means necessary. When his attempts to trick Herman fail, Tilpehööri decides to bring in the more extreme methods, and soon things start to get weirder and weirder at the Circus Hepokatti.

The father and mother flee to Lapland to prepare for Christmas, but peace is at a standstill when the children tag along. When Jussi's new girlfriend Viktoria is revealed to be the millionaire's only child, the father does everything he can to make the best possible impression on the family's new daughter-in-law. The Singer is a film about the all-time favourite singer in Finland, Olavi Virta. A man who rose from poverty all the way to the top and became an artist who was dearly loved by the Finnish people. A man who loved beautiful women and was loved by beautiful women. A man who enjoyed speed, American cars, applause and alcohol and who finally lost everything but his unique voice.

The years have passed and the children have flown from the nest to the world... except they haven't. On the contrary. Jonna and Junnu have been lured back home, with the addition of Jonna's child, by a house that will soon be empty. The parents, who are of retirement age, are about to move to Spain - as soon as the father can tell his employer that he is quitting his job as a taxi driver. But the father's plans are changed when his boss buys his taxi company a new vehicle, a luxury Mercedes with all the bells and whistles. His pension, Spain, wife and common sense all vanish as he is left with one obsessive goal: to get behind the wheel of his coveted Mercedes one single time. Eventually his dream comes true, but at a cost. The father discovers he has put the whole family in such dire straits that the only way out is to steal the dead man's briefcase.

The movie is about the Lokomo laborer, and group of friends that dreams come true and a thirst for fast-paced life that take decades.

Four stories about Finnish life intersect. In the first one, drum artist Monkki Mähönen arrives for a renovation job at his old band mate's summer villa. Second story revolves around wannabe motorcycle gang and its leader Jouni who are being humiliated at a village shop. Thirdly in the 1960s, a star reporter Erkki "Likasanko" Sysimetsä starts writing a once in a lifetime story about the womanizing of Arvo Hakala, a pipe organ repair man. In the fourth story, a fantasy and sci-fi film director Kurt "Kurre" von Riikonen is looking for financing of his upcoming movie Excalibur IV with catastrophic consequences.

Herman the Clown sets out to find his father, whom he hasn't seen since he set off to measure the Earth with his feet. He is secretly followed by the son of Max the Magician, ten-year-old Roni. And so begins an exhilarating adventure full of magic, twists and colorful circus life.
