Kathmandu, Nepal, early 1990s. Laia, a young teacher from Catalonia, Spain, works at a local school in the slums of the city where poverty reigns. Her personal path, besieged by a harsh sum of indescribable social conditions, will be a struggle against a nefarious educational system, but a journey of self-discovery as well.

Jordi is going to make it big, cost what it may, juggling a stock exchange portfolio; Cristina combines booze, drugs and sex in the celebration of her birthday; and Pau, in search of strong emotions, turns to violence, xenophobic attitude. Three young protagonists flee towards the future in the pursuit of an illusory happiness.

A judge has confiscated the phone of Pedro, a 17-year-old teenager, for recording the beating of another young man from his high school with his cell phone and distributing it on social media. His motivation for doing so was powerful. Or at least that's how he sees it. The "victim" is a high school bully who had the school in fear. Pedro believes he has done justice. Mario, his cool uncle, reproaches him for his actions in a reasoned and forceful manner. During an innocent day of animal tagging, Mario and Pedro witness a murder. Pursued and at high risk of death, Mario will fight to save his life and will face the same dilemma his nephew faced at school: whether or not to sacrifice the lives of the hitmen to save their own lives.
